OPERATIONS INTERN

Ezgi is a full-time concert goer and part-time PhD researcher hailing from the glorious city of Istanbul. Her earliest memories always include her singing and she might have performed here and there, but she is most comfortable with the role of the “listener.”

Having worked at cultural institutions, festivals and music venues for almost no pay so that she could watch her favorite artists, she ended up meeting a lot of wonderful musicians, Taali and José James being two of them.

Currently she is in New York — and sometimes in Baltimore — writing her dissertation on jazz album packaging from the 1940s through the 1960s within the larger cultural, political and economic frameworks of the time.
